About Sampson Agricultural Services

Background

The Sampson family have farmed in the Loddiswell area for nearly 100 years, and at Woolston for 70 years when Mark’s great great grandfather bought the farm at Woolston in 1945.

Mark’s grandparents took over the farm in 1959 and ran a very successful poultry rearing business supplying day old chickens all over the country.  They also ran a small dairy unit.

John and Rosemary Sampson took over the farming enterprise in 1974 expanding the dairy unit to over 300 cows and acquiring more land. The dairy herd was sold in 1992 to concentrate on the arable and contracting side of the business.

Today

Mark and Emma Sampson took over control of the farm and contracting business in 2007, further developing the services offered and constructing extensive cold storage facilities.

The business embraces modern technology offering a wide range of professionally delivered services including GPS field measuring enabling optimum efficiency to help maximise potential yields.
